Obituary for David William Dixon

David William Dixon
With his family by his side, Dave Dixon passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 30, 2016. Born December 18, 1964 in Brandon, Dave attended Meadows, Earl Oxford and Crocus Plains schools. He worked with Broome Construction, Zenith Paving and Brandon Heating and Plumbing where he completed his education as a Journeyman Sheet Metal Worker and a Licensed Gas Fitter. Until his passing, Dave was currently working at Brandon Heating as a Shop Supervisor and Job Estimator, and being a hard worker, usually had many projects on the go. When not at work, Dave enjoyed golfing, curling, skiing, and snowmobiling. A very supportive father, he coached his daughters softball teams and rarely missed their softball, racquetball, volleyball, basketball or hockey games. David will be deeply missed by his wife Barb, daughters Meagan (Mike) Loucks, and Jennifer. Also mourning his loss are his mother Louise, sister Kathy, brothers Bob (Alison), and Wayne (Donna), mother-in-law Betty Heeney, brother-in-law Bob and sister-in-law Maureen (Gary) and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his father Ralph. The Funeral Service took place at Central United Church on Wednesday, December 7, 2016 with Joe Ball officiating. Dave was laid to rest in a private ceremony at the Brandon Cemetery. Donations in memory of Dave may be made to the Brandon Regional Health Centre Foundation for Western Manitoba Cancer Centre, 150 McTavish Avenue East, Brandon, MB R7A 2B3.
