The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Garnet Smith can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Thank you.

Condolence: Our sincere condolences to Mrs. Smith;Don;Dick;Randy and families. Mr. Smith was an incredible guy. Growing up in that neighbourhood was a challenge for everyone and Mr. and Mrs. Smith were a great calming influence on all of us. One of his great accomplishments was being able to score a TV from Kennedy's on the weekends. 937 5th would then be wall to wall with neighbourhood ragamuffins glued to the tube while Mrs. Smith calmly attended to her household endeavours. Seriously, the Smiths were awesome neighbours and good friends of my parents who cherished their friendship. He was a gentle person full of tolerance and acceptance of others and a man of utmost integrity....he will be dearly missed...

Condolence: Dear family and friends of Mr. Smith I am very sorry for your painful loss. None of us at least most do not look forward to death. For: it was not meant to be. Had Adam and Eve obeyed we would be living the perfect life. That is if we would have been born. Genesis 2:15,16,17 Please know that someday things will be perfect again. Revelation 21:3-5 says: Jehovah God is going to end death. It says: even more. He is Even going to wipe the tears from our faces. Acts 24:15 gives us hope for the resurrection. May you receive a warm friendly embrace.

Condolence: Dear Kay+Family,
So saddened to read of Garnet's passing.I fondly remember the good old days in our neighbourhood. When we got married we bought our first bedroom suite from Garnet!Although he lived to a ripe old age it is still so difficult to lose a partner and a parent. We are thinking of you during this difficult time and may your happy memories help you through your sorrow.
