Obituary for Roxanne Lynda Trumbley

Roxanne Lynda Trumbley
On Thursday, August 22, 2019 Roxanne “Roxy” Trumbley passed away with family by her side. Roxanne was born on January 29, 1947 in Swan River, MB. She married Charles Trumbley in October of 1965 and divorced in 1993. Roxanne had various jobs throughout her life including service writer at Binkley Motors and working at Brandon General Hospital in the kitchen and then housekeeping until her retirement. Even after retirement, she continued to do odd jobs. Roxanne was a long time Al-Anon member and had pride in helping fellow members. In 2000 she met Peter Funk and enjoyed the last 19 years with him, as well as his family. Together they did a lot of traveling and camping with other couples. They also loved going to her sister’s and visiting with her family and spending time with her brother and his wife; she cherished the times they played music and sang for her. Roxanne was able to take a trip to Hawaii, the all time place she wanted to go. She joined UCT and participated in several activities; she also became a member of the MMF. Roxanne was very talented in many ways including beading, playing cribbage and other card games, dancing and listening to fiddle music and almost everything she tried. Left to cherish her memory are her partner Peter Funk, son Emery and family, daughter Penny, sister Viola and brother George and their families. The Ceremony to Celebrate Roxanne’s Life was held at Memories Chapel on Wednesday, August 28, 2019. Donations in memory of Roxanne may be made to Diabetes Canada, 1300 – 522 University Avenue, Toronto, ON M5G 2R5 or the Canadian Cancer Society, 193 Sherbrook Street, Suite 602, Ottawa, ON K2P 0G5.
