Obituary for Michael G. Britton

Michael G. Britton
It is with great sadness that our family announces the passing of Michael Geoffrey Britton, on Tuesday, January 3, 2017 at the age of 50 years. Mike is survived by his wife Brenda Britton, son Cody Britton and step-daughter Paige Kippen. He also leaves behind his father Ron Britton, mother Joan Britton, siblings Pam (Al) Plato, Duane (Christine Shaw) Britton, Laurie (Mike) Pelechaty as well as his beloved nieces and nephews. A wonderfully loving and hardworking man, Mike worked in industrial chemical sales for over 20 years, first with C&S Equipment that was bought out by Zep Mfg. Mike then moved to Prairie West Products where he continued his success. He was very dedicated to his customers, knowing their names as well as the names of their families members and everyone's well being. Mike loved his family beyond measure and cherished time spent with them. He loved to travel and as his children grew up he was beginning to plan all of his "dream" trips. He did get to enjoy a few of them, most notably his trip to Rome, Italy and his final vacation to Alaska. An avid outdoorsman, Mike loved to go skidooing and was the only person praying for more snow every winter. He also enjoyed camping and would take as many trips as he could. He took great pride in his yard and worked tirelessly on it every summer. Everyone who knew Mike knows that he was always up for a good joke or prank. We will miss all of the laughs. We will say our final goodbye to Mike during a Celebration of Life at Memories Chapel, 330 18th Street North, on Tuesday, January 10, 2017 at 2:00 pm. Flowers are gratefully declined. Donations in memory of Mike may be made to the Canadian Liver Foundation Manitoba Chapter, 605 Erin Street, Winnipeg, Manitoba R3G 2W1, or to the Brandon Regional Health Centre Foundation for Palliative Care, 150 McTavish Avenue East, Brandon, Manitoba R7A 2B3.
