Obituary for Rosemarie Bertha Paula Kruger

Rosemarie Bertha Paula Kruger (nee Obermeyer) passed away on Monday, August 5, 2019 at Valleyview Care Centre. Rosemarie was born on October 6, 1926 in Halle en die Saale, Germany. She studied classical music in Germany before emigrating to Canada in 1952. Rosemarie obtained a Bachelor of Education at the Brandon University in the 1970’s. She had various jobs but teaching became her profession in Canada, both in English and German. This included teaching German reading and writing to the children of fellow immigrants here in Brandon. Rosemarie’s love for classical music led her to also teach music privately. Rosemarie is survived by her son Bodo Carl Kruger, granddaughter Shianne Kruger and great-grandchildren Keaton and Sage Kruger. She was predeceased by her son, Hans-Jurgen Kruger and ex husband Alfred Kruger. Rosemarie would like to say good-bye to the many people she has befriended during her lifetime and especially her beloved Hutterite friends, in particular Daniel and Anna Hofer and their children: Larry, Lydia, Katie and her daughter Anna, from the Green Acres Colony. A family whom she has known for sixty years. The family will cherish Rosemarie’s memory privately.
