Jean "John" Boulet
Jean “John” Boulet passed away surrounded by his loving family at the St. Boniface hospital in Winnipeg, Manitoba on Monday, October 15th at the age of 52. Jean will be deeply missed by his wife Lynette, children Kendal (Samantha) and Alanna (Michael) Peterson, parents Felicien & Eveline, siblings Henri (Bonnie), Maurice (Julie), Roger, Laurent (Marcelle), Gisele (Luc) Corriveau, Jeannine (Nyle), Gerald (Tanya) and many nieces & nephews. Jean was born on December 1st, 1965 in Killarney, Manitoba. Jean graduated from Killarney Collegiate in 1984 and moved to Brandon to further his carpentry skills at Assiniboine Community College. Jean married the love of his life, Lynette Boisvert, on October 11, 1986. In 1988, Jean and Lynette welcomed their son Kendal into the world. In 1992, they welcomed their daughter Alanna. Jean cherished his family above all else. They enjoyed many road trips across Canada and Jean always lived life to the fullest. His children remember him as a loving father who encouraged them to pursue their goals. Jean was a gifted carpenter and had a passion for woodworking. He developed his skills over a number of years and most recently with Contractors Corner in Brandon. Jean enjoyed many laughs and good times with his work family over the last few years. Jean loved fishing and camping with family, summer was never long enough for him. He was a loyal Brandon Wheat Kings fan, but the Montreal Canadiens had his heart. Jean’s smile was never bigger than when he was with his wife and children, he cherished the times they shared. Jean was always willing to help anyone in need and never shied away from making new friends. The Mass of Christian Burial to honor Jean’s Life was held on Wednesday, October 24, 2018 at St. Augustine's Roman Catholic Church with Fr. Michael Raj Savarimuthu as Celebrant. Interment followed at the Brandon Cemetery. Donations in memory of Jean may be made to the Ronald McDonald House, 566 Bannatyne Avenue, Winnipeg, Manitoba R3A 0G7. A special thanks to our extended family and friends who have given us much support and encouragement through this difficult time. Jean will be greatly missed and never forgotten. "Until we meet again".
