Obituary for Frances Anderson

Frances Anderson
Frances ANDERSON (nee McCaig)
December 30, 1915 - August 8, 2018

Frances has had her last coke. It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Frances Anderson of Fairview Personal Care Home in Brandon, MB. She passed peacefully surrounded by family and so much love on August 8th, 2018. Frances was predeceased by her husband, Robert John (Bert) Anderson in 2001; son, Keith Roy Anderson in 1973; and granddaughter Lorenda Gwen (Lori) Rempel in 2011. Frances is survived by son Robert Dougal (Gwen) of Selkirk, MB; daughter Gale Ann (Moe) Balcaen of Child's Lake, MB; and son David Allan (Sharon) of St. Albert, AB. She was blessed with 6 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, and 2 great great grandchildren.

Frances worked out of the home for a few years but was mainly a stay at home wife and mom. They moved several times within Manitoba, living in Foxwarren, Russell, Grandview, Portage, Brandon and Winnipeg. Frances returned to Brandon to live at Fairview where she was affectionately known as "The coke lady" , as that was all she ever drank and her fridge was always kept full of small cans of coke. The staff at Fairview treated her so well and we all appreciate that.

Frances was a very kind, gentle and caring lady and it seems everyone loved her. Her sisters always referred to her as "An angel right here on earth" and now she is an angel right there in Heaven.

Memories Chapel looked after the arrangements for cremation and return of ashes to the family in a very kind, compassionate and professional manner.

A private family burial was held at Binscarth Cemetery on Sunday, August 12th, 2018.

This is a verse from the song we played at her burial.

Dancing in the sky

I hope you're dancing in the sky
I hope you're singing in the angel's choir
I hope the angels know what they have
I'll bet it's so nice up in heaven since you arrived.

'Cause here on earth it feels like everything good is missing since you left
And here on earth everything's different, there's an emptiness.
