Obituary for Sheldon Earl Ullberg

The death of Sheldon Earl Ullberg, of Brandon, Manitoba occurred suddenly on Wednesday, December 26, 2001 at the Brandon Regional Health Centre. Sheldon was born in Erickson, Manitoba on January 30, 1960 to Earl and Eleanor Ullberg. The family moved to Brandon in 1969, where he continued his education at Earl Oxford and Crocus Plains. Sheldon shared a partnership and a passion with his wife. Together they worked endlessly building their business Jig N' Rig Bait and Tackle. To say that Sheldon was an avid angler, was an understatement. Many people shared many moments on the water with him, including his wife, children and father in law. Sheldon was also an employee of Welder Supplies Ltd., for the past 15 years, and continued there up until his death. Sheldon touched many people in his short life, and will be sadly missed by all who knew him. Sheldon is survived by his wife Wanda and their three children, Ashley, Nicole and Evan; parents, Eleanor and Earl Ullberg, of Brandon; sisters, Sharon (David) Hoar of Keswick, Ontario; and Debbie Donnelly of Victoria, British Columbia. Also surviving are his mother and father-in-law, Mary and Roy Wright of Brandon; brother-in-law Sheldon (Kathryn) of Edmonton, Alberta; sisters-in-law, Tammy (Mark) Burgess of Brandon; April (Ryan) Stonehouse of Edmonton, Alberta; and special friend, Chris Downey; as well as many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. The Funeral Service was held on Saturday, December 29, 2001 at Memories Chapel, Interment followed at Alexander Cemetery. Reverend John Nesbitt of Trinity United Church officiated. Pallbearers were Wanda Ullberg, Ashley Ullberg, Nicole Ullberg and Evan Ullberg. Flowers are gratefully declined. Donations in Sheldon's memory may be made to a Trust Fund for his children Ashley, Nicole and Evan c/o Royal Bank, 661 - 18th Street, Brandon, Manitoba, R7A 5B3.
